ワサン副学長から2月6日、7日に予定されていたムンバイでの
　　同窓会の延期の連絡を頂きましたので皆様にご報告申し上げます。

　　また三栖前会長がthe International Board of Overseersへご参加されるという報告、
　　IITの全学生に占める留学生の比率の増加についても合わせご連絡いたします。

　　In view of the economic situation, as well as the recent events in Mumbai,
　　John Anderson has asked us to postpone the International Board meeting and
　　Asian Alumni meeting, that were scheduled to be held February 6-7. We will
　　reschedule when possible.　On a happier note, I am pleased to inform you that
　　IIT's international enrollment this fall exceeded our expectations: 3004 of
　　IIT's 7613 students are international (39%); as compared to 2730 of 7409
　　(37%) in fall 2007.
　　Kunihiro Misu, Advisor and former Chairman of Nikken Sekkei , Ltd. in Japan,
　　has accepted our invitation to join the International Board of Overseers.
